FUN, What To Do

Books That Better Your Wardrobe: The Gospel According to Coco Chanel

This is not a review…I haven’t even finished it yet! It’s just so good that I feel the need to share it with you NOW. Plus, it was just released in paper back for $12.95 (ballin).

The Gospel According to Coco Chanel by Karen Karbo reads as if you were having coffee with your best friend after a night filled with too many cocktails…minus the headache. Karbo gives insight into Coco’s very mysterious upbringing and how she transformed from an orphan to a self-made icon in a world of hoop skirts and dead-bird hats. (which, interestingly enough was through many compulsive lies…who said the truth would set you free? NOT Coco!) The book also includes fashion tips straight from Madame Chanel herself and how they can apply to our wardrobes today. Overall, this book is definitely a beach, park, or right before bed, read. Throw it in your (fake) Classic Flap Bag and whip it out when you have a moment to yourself.

"How many cares one loses when one decides not to be something but to be someone."

peace, love, and pearls,

CARL
